Valentine joined the Centre for Cities in October 2019. She currently leads research on high streets and city centres and the recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic; and she is also responsible for our work on environmental issues, including the role played by cities in reaching net-zero and addressing air pollution.
Before joining the Centre for Cities, Valentine was a research assistant in the Department of Land Economy at the University of Cambridge, where she worked on housing and planning policies.
She holds a degree in Economics and Sociology from La Sorbonne University, a MSc in Quantitative Sociology from the Ecole Normale Superieure and a MSc in Urban Policy from Sciences Po Paris and the London School of Economics.
